Advertisements Are Killer ( Quote-Paraphrase-Citatation #4 )

Summary: Advertisements are popping up everywhere and they are affecting what people buy. Because of kids' persuasive powers, most ads are aimed at them to get them to ask their parents for it. And teens may buy more with there own currency.

Quote: "Advertisements are everywhere — TV commercials, pop-up ads on the computer, magazines ads and billboards — and they have a huge impact on what people buy. Even though it is mostly adults who spend the money, commercials are often aimed at kids. If the advertising for a product is successful, kids will ask their parents to buy the product.

Marketers have obviously found success in advertising to kids: children ages 12 and under convince their parents to spend more than $500 million a year. Some teens are able to buy the products they see advertised on their own."

Paraphrase:Advertisements are popping up all over the place- TV, Radio, Internet, even billboards. And the influence what people purchase greatly. Most of the time, the adults spend the money; however, most ads are pointed towards children. If the ad for an item is persuasive enough, a child will ask their guardian to purchase it. So, the Marketers found it prudent to advertise towards kids, due to their "persuasive powers". Statistics say that kids around the age of twelve persuade their mom or dad to spend nearly $500 million a year.
