Smoking in the Box Office? (Quote-Paraphrase-Citation #2)

Summary: Because of some inappropriate movies, many kids have started doing inappropriate acts-smoking. It is because of movies with excessive smoking that about 40,000 kids have started smoking. About 40% of kids started smoking because of excess onscreen smoking.

Quote: " Every year, nearly 400,000 kids start smoking due to the influence of movies. The finding was highlighted at this week's meeting of the American Academy of Pediatrics, held Oct. 7-10 in Atlanta. After accounting for factors linked to smoking behavior and movie-going frequency, they find that kids who see the most onscreen smoking are more than 2.5 times more likely to start smoking than kids who see the least onscreen smoking. The numbers are striking. Kids who watched very few movies hardly smoked at all. But among the 5% of kids who saw the most onscreen smoking, 40% had started smoking themselves.”

Paraphrase: 400,000 children start to smoke because of the movies they see. This discovery was founded during a meeting at the American Academy of Pediatrics. They found that children who see an excess of smoking in movies will be more likely to start smoking by 2.5 times, discussing the key factors associated to smoking habits in movies. However, 5% of the children who witnessed the highest amount of smoking in movies, about 40% of them started smoking on their own.
